ASWorld Group – organised a global roadshow at the 33rd Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to promote the upcoming World Expo to all 54 member countries of the African Union (AU).

2020 Participation figures
  • About 4000 participants with 2500 delegates from 55 African countries (with presence of virtually all African Heads of States and Governments)
  • More than 100 journalists from international and African media covering the event
  • Most important pan-African event with widest possible regional coverage
AS World EXPO2020 promotion
  • Access and Stand placement in the heart of African Union HQ – main visible entrance hall and in the hotels where the Presidents stayed
  • Visibility for all participants who are attending the plenary sessions
  • Organised meetings/discussion points around EXPO2020 at our stand with delegations from about 25 African countries
Specific Activities
  • Organisation of a work session at AS World EXPO2020 with a specific stress on:
    • EXPO2020 unique appeal to African countries with individual country pavilions
    • EXPO2020 assistance with promoting intra-African trade (with the largest ever African participation to an Expo )
Results
  • We managed to raise the awareness of EXPO2020 with most African Governments and answered many logistical questions, especially with our specific packages
  • Our stress on assistance from African Governments for a non-corporate participation from SMEs, academia and general public – was well received together with our packages that provide a technical solution
