Fernando holds a Ph.D. in mathematics with distinction “Magna Cum Laude” complemented with studies in Bangalore (India) regarding advanced mathematics models applied to commodities price forecasting. Likewise he holds a MBA by IESE.

As well is an economics graduate with more than 25 years experience in providing financial advisory services for multinational corporations, investment banks and governments, designing and implementing the strategy to modernize and enhance the profitability and marketability of the energy and oil and gas industry.

Tax structures, legal framework, divestment of non-core assets, M&A schedule and privatizations are key points of the projects. Fernando has a wide experience in leading projects for the largest NOCs and IOCs in the four continents.

Fernando has been Managing Director and O&G Global Head in Duff & Phelps Team (Carlyle Group). Before, Fernando worked in KPMG Corporate Finance and in Arthur Andersen.
